Do not get caught up in all of the media this and thats. Ignore the reviews and critiques. Go experience this series. Words cannot describe.

And hey, how's everyone doing :D?

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. [Nov. 18th, 2007|01:18 am]
Is freaking unbelievably good.

I'll post more about this, along with making more legit posts. But I just had to throw that out there. Assassin's Creed, it too is amazing, just not as fun as this (still fun though). I haven't had this much fun with a game since, I don't even know when. I'm excluding fighting games here, but this includes every other genre.

Does anyone have either Stormos' or Paya's contact information? Or if either of you happen to read this maybe you can get ahold of me. My e-mail is KrsJin@comcast.net or can catch me on AIM at KrsJin. Just have a quick question for the two.

Thanks -

Followup. [Aug. 1st, 2007|02:53 pm]
Here's the same set that was shown last night, different location though. Actually, it's not verbatim but it's pretty damn close to being the same exact set.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1354792744516813690&q=daft+punk+live&total=1927&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=5

It's the entire set, but if you're interested, it's worth the length. Especially the encore <3

Hearing it again seriously gives me chills lol. This is ridiculous.

Obligatory "I'm not dead" post. [Aug. 1st, 2007|10:51 am]
[Current Mood | complacent]
[Current Music |Chemical Brothers - The Salmon Dance]

In-fact, I'd say I'm more "Alive" than I have been in quite some time. Pun intended ^_-

Last night I went to go see Daft Punk for my first time ever (They're hard to catch in the US =Q). The name of their tour happens to be Alive. On top of that, they were at my favorite venue, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It's basically an outdoor concert hall, surrounded by natural red rock, at the top of a fairly good sized foothill. I live in Colorado mind you, so when I say foothill you can just assume it's a full fledged mountain lol. If you sit high enough, you can see part of the city in the backdrop below, just above the stage. It's just incredible. Here's one pic showing one of the surrounding walls.

I've always heard from ranting fanboys how incredible Daft Punk is live. And that it's the best live performance they've ever seen, blahda blahda blahda. Turns out, they were 100 % correct lol. I could NOT get over their set, or their encore. It was like every Daft Punk fan's dream come true when they would intro a song with Aerodynamic, then cut into One More Time, then follow up with a mix of both Brain Washer and Aero Dynamic synced together flawlessly. As someone mentioned at the SRK forums, it's not unlike them to mix up to 4-5 songs at one time, and pull it off with the utmost class and quality. They probably touched on everyone's favorite songs from their three albumns, and really, it was pure bliss. I almost feel like posting SPOILER for this next bit, but most of you may not care, outside of maybe SyaraDJ lol. But they left the stage, and we did the typical crowed praise thing where we chant Daft Punk, which turned into a chant One More TIme. They eventually came out, only this time they were rocking Tron like suits with red lines throughout. And what was the song they played you ask? Stardust's - Music Sounds Better With You, with One More Time lyrics.... HOW FREAKING AMAZING THAT!? I've not ever heard Daft Punk use someone elses work, but man was it perfect.

The night was amazing, entire crowed was on their feet for a good solid 2 hours, and even those who seemingly lacked rhythm were dancing. To me, there's only good dancing, and great dancing lol. Long as you're dancing, it's good. The night was incredible. It was truly the best live performance I have ever seen. Without question.

Other stuff )

I'm sold lol.

Mike, a friend of mine gave me both these links, thought I'd give credit where it's due. I get a lot of my game media via him haha.

The inner Sony fanboy is slowly seeping out of me. Sony's made some shitty moves of course, but all in all, at the end of the day, I just like the games they put out.

Anyone know much about this band? I'm really digging their song "Flathead" from the last iPod commercial. Anyone know if the rest of their stuff is similar?

23. [Feb. 19th, 2007|09:27 pm]
I thought I'd share this instance with you since the movie #23 is coming out soon. For those who don't know, both Max and I were born on 9/23 and always run into uncanny experiences regarding the number. We've always taken it as a good luck thing though, where-as the movie seems to put an evil spin on it lol. Anyway I was reading an artcile on Comcast's site and noticed this right away.

Article is about a premature baby that survives a situation they didn't think he/she would survive, if you're interested in the actual story comment and I'll get you the article lol. Here's an a part of it.
"Neonatologists who cared for Amillia say she is the first baby known to survive after a gestation period of fewer than 23 weeks. A database run by the University of Iowa's Department of Pediatrics lists seven babies born at 23 weeks between 1994 and 2003."

You might first think yeah ok Christian, 23 is shown twice, whoopie. But it's not even the 23 that caught my attention, it's the 1994 and the 2003. 1 + 9 + 9 +4 = 23. 2003, 0 isn't recognized in some cases, leaving the 23. And then yeah, 23 shown directly. Stuff like this really does occur rather frequently. And when I think about it or look for it, it happens even more often. I sure hope Max and I are right in thinking it's good luck and not tha davil!

Got back earlier today from New Mexico. Gona make this brief cause I'm tired and still very sick lol.

Drive was smooth but boring, and while sick, not too fun, but we got there and got there for cheap! Results for myself and other CO players of the tourney are as follows.

-Tekken 5 DR:
1st Saeng
3rd Big D

-MvC2:
2nd Big D

-Third Strike:
1st Halfro
3rd KrsJin

-CvS2:
3rd Halfro

-Super Turbo:
I think Halfro got 3rd =Q?

-GGXX/:
1st Halfro
3rd KrsJin

-Gears of War:
3rd Andre and Alex

I'd say we did pretty well considering we really havn't practiced at all recently, and kind of decided to go last minute lol. Was real happy to see CO place top 3 in every game we participated in. Tournament was real fun. Big turnout overall, not so much for individual games. Game brackets averaged like 14 for most fighters. Was a great tourney to lead into this upcoming one in AZ though, can't wait for that.

RR7 Love. [Feb. 5th, 2007|11:54 pm]
Man, I hate to spoil this but I don't think it's much of a spoiler to anyone who reads my LJ lol. But once you get to the 14th grand prix in RR7, you race on a throw back track. If you've played 4 and 5 you'll recognize it instantly. It also plays a track that resembles Movin' In Circles. Then they end with a great collage of pictures of that track. Man, talk about fan service for RR heads lol. All this does, and I'm ok with the idea of them milking their series, is makes me want them to completely remake each track from 4-7 into one game, with all of the soundtracks from each since we now have the room to do so.

I like how 6 and 7 have a proper ending as though you beat the game, but then you unlock another half all together :D

Evidence R4 has the greatest soundtrack ever to a game. [Feb. 1st, 2007|02:50 pm]
http://www.amazon.com/R4-Ridge-Racer-Type-4/dp/B000059XGP in the customer reviews :D

Anyway. Busy busy lately. Hella games to play, and practicing for a tourney in New Mexico next week. Then one in Phoenix in March. VF5 is nearly out, and cannot freaking wait. I want to get Rogue Galaxy but I have so much else I wana play/need to beat first that I'll put it off for now.

Playing Stations Tres. [Jan. 26th, 2007|12:09 am]
Broke down and bought a PS3 today in preperation for VF5 coming up. Also caved in and got RR7 and Genji. I read many, many reviews on how shitty Genji was, and if it wasn't for how gorgeous the first one was, I wouldn't have gave this one a second thought. However, despite the more than horrible camera angles, the game is actually enjoyable. I wouldn't say 60 dollars worth, since it's just your run of the mill hack and slash, but for a launch title game I think it's great. If the PS3 is pumping out these kind of visuals this early in the game, I truely can't wait to see what else comes out.

Booted up RR7 just to check out the interface and tried one new track (happned to love that track). Then setup my PSNetwork thing, KrsJin on there if anyone would like to add me. If anyone is wanting to play RR7 just leme know, I'm game fosho.

I'm digging this patch they just added too. To make the visuals better on BC games. Glad to see they're adjusting their problems they can fix.

Well I got a new computer. [Jan. 23rd, 2007|05:07 pm]
Despite some great advice you guys posted, I ended up going with

A Mac?????

I use to hate on Macs so hard but a friend convinced me I should at least go to the store and check it out lol. Needless to say I drank the Apple Juice and ordered one right quick.

The thing is such a hoss compared to my last computer lol. One example. Last computer had 20 GB total for HDD space. Now I'm at 500 GB. It's nice to finally feel caught up with the times lol.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=153152&skip=yes
(Another Rumor... But the source of this rumor is very interesting.)

I personally am elated at the idea not because I would rather have Tekken on the 360 than the PS3 (In-fact, I may not even get Tekken if it didn't make drastic changes from T:5 DR), but because the 360 may actually end up being a great console. XBox has always been good, the actual product that is. But always had such a shit, domestic spread of games that it didn't really impress me. Microsoft is gona mess around and actually start selling 360s in Japan.
